In winter, a dermatologist-cosmetologist Nadezhda Yudina suggested replacing the usual shower with a bath to avoid problems with dry skin. During the heating season, dry air removes moisture from surfaces, including skin, the specialist noted.

To maintain skin hydration, the expert recommended installing a humidifier or placing open containers of water in rooms, monitoring fluid intake, using thermal water, applying thicker creams before going outside, and preferring a bath over a shower.
According to the specialist, being in a humid environment for a long time and then applying cream will help hydrate and retain moisture in the skin.
