According to MTS, in January – March of this year, about 7.4 million gadgets were sold for a total of 186 billion rubles. This is reported by the publication “News”.
General Director for Retail Sales at MTS, Andrey Gubanov, noted that smartphone sales are growing both in terms of the number of devices and revenue. The country’s population is increasingly updating their gadgets, while the average bill for a smartphone increased by 16% compared to last year, reaching 25 thousand rubles.
Against the backdrop of such a boom in active sales, Xiaomi remains the market leader, controlling a 29% share. It is followed by Tecno with 17% and Infinix with 12.5%. Analysts from Mobile Research Group suggest that this year the volume of smartphone sales in Russia may set a new record and reach 35-36 million devices.
