Residents of the US state of Florida filmed a mysterious phenomenon. During sunset the sky divided into two parts: one was painted bright orange, the other gray.

This phenomenon is called “split sunset.” It appears due to the bending of sunlight when the rays pass through layers of the Earth’s atmosphere that have different densities and temperatures. Some media explained the phenomenon as a shadow from a large cloud that obscured the sun. Sometimes it can appear from behind a mountain, blocking part of the star.

Some people online called this phenomenon a glitch in the matrix and confirmation that humanity is actually living in a simulation. Someone attached special significance to this sunset, as they considered it a sign from above. One way or another, the phenomenon reminded everyone of the versatility and beauty of nature.
