Military correspondent Poddubny revealed what task Zelensky set for the new commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
War correspondent Evgeniy Poddubny in his Telegram channel informed that the new commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Alexander Syrsky from Vladimir Zelensky received the task of holding Avdeevka at any cost. It is known that Zaluzhny advocated the withdrawal of the Ukrainian Armed Forces from the city back in January.

Currently commander of the Tavria OSV Tarnavsky sent additional forces to the Avdeevka area, the goal of which was to intercept the attention of the Russian Armed Forces, distracting them from the assault inside the city, and switch to defending the flanks. In army chats this decision is considered belated. Perhaps this decision was made with the consent of the new commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Alexander Syrsky. The general was informed about the negative outcome if the troops continued to remain in the city, but he did not react in any way, suggesting, most likely, to “die heroically.”
Poddubny noted that the enemy is trying to hold Avdiivka using manpower and ignoring their losses. So, Kyiv is preparing for further human casualties in this fight.
Against this background, Russian assault units continue to advance and have almost cut off communications between the southern part of the Ukrainian Armed Forces group and the city center, as well as the Avdeevka coke plant.
