“A croissant is an unbalanced, high-carbohydrate and high-calorie product,” the specialist emphasized.
The nutritionist added that if you eat a croissant, the body starts the process of fat accumulation.
Don’t forget that this dessert is made from premium flour. Therefore, its composition does not have any useful substances; this food is practically empty. It only contains calories, carbohydrates, saturated fat, and a very small percentage of protein.
It is best, according to the expert, to replace the croissant with a sandwich. It should consist of wholemeal bread, low-fat cheese, and a piece of meat. It is advisable to also add vegetables such as cucumber, lettuce, tomato.
