BMW disrupts the market: new electric vehicles will become your own energy stations

BMW has unveiled the Neue Klasse, its long-awaited electric vehicle platform that will debut next year with an SUV.

The new architecture supports two-way charging, which will allow future models such as the iX3 SUV and i3 sedan to function as energy banks to charge the home, appliances and other devices. BMW is also promising improvements in charging speed and range thanks to the switch to sixth-generation round battery cells.
The company plans to phase in two-way charging and launch several models based on the Neue Klasse by 2028, and by the end of the decade, more than half of BMW’s annual sales are expected to come from electric vehicles.
