On-board incident: Passengers lost balance due to accidental push by flight attendant on Latam Airlines plane

A flight attendant aboard a Boeing plane owned by Chile’s Latam Airlines accidentally activated a switch in the pilot’s seat, causing the plane’s nose to drop undesirably and causing some passengers to lose their balance in their seats.

Due to the carelessness of the flight attendant, who was serving food, the captain of the plane touched the control lever, which led to an involuntary decrease in altitude.
The incident caused panic among passengers, some of whom were not wearing seat belts and lost their balance as a result of the sudden movement. However, the pilot responded quickly and regained control of the aircraft.
After this incident, Boeing warned airlines operating their aircraft to close the cover over the pilot’s seat switch.
