China acquired the most gold reserves last year – 224 tons, and the reserve itself increased to 2,236 tons. Next comes Australia, which increased its “metal” reserves by a third, or 21 tons, to 77.5 tons of gold, followed by India with an increase in reserves by 17 tons, to 804 tons. Mexico purchased about one ton, increasing assets to 121 tons. France replenished its gold reserves by 0.3 tons, to 2,437 tons.
