Criminals swindled almost 10.5 million rubles from the pockets of residents of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug using remote methods of accessing accounts. Among the victims were both pensioners and young people. Over the past weekend, 24 cases of fraud using citizens’ bank cards were registered.

Among the victims were an 80-year-old grandmother who was a crypto trader and a young resident of Vartovsk who dreamed of purchasing a Yorkshire terrier. The criminal persuaded the girl to pay for the cost of the puppy and its delivery in advance, after which he disappeared without responding to communication.
A similar incident occurred with a 65-year-old man who was going to buy a car based on an advertisement. The fraudster received an advance payment of 40 thousand rubles and disappeared.
Criminal cases have been launched into all cases of theft from bank cards, and law enforcement agencies are actively looking for the perpetrators.
There are no crimes that criminals will not commit. Previously, we reported about the kidnapping of a girl in Yamal, for which the criminals demanded a ransom of two million rubles, reports muksun.fm.
