Nutritionist Lydia Ionova reminded that overeating and lack of physical activity on New Year’s Eve can heartburn occurs.

Heartburn can appear as a sign of reflux disease. With this disease, bile from the stomach enters the esophagus. The situation in this case will worsen if you immediately go to bed after eating, the doctor noted. She recommended that after the feast, first take a walk, and also prevent overeating.

In addition, fatty foods can also trigger heartburn, Ionova said.

“If this is a problem with the gallbladder, then the food should be of moderate fat content and must contain dietary fiber, for example, from vegetables or fruits,” Ionova explained in a conversation with the Public News Service.

If you have problems with the gallbladder, you should eat as little smoked foods, caviar, and salads with mayonnaise as possible.

Instead of sausage, it is better to cook baked meat, and serve more vegetables, including green ones, on the festive table, Ionova added.
