Turkish Turkcell decided to transfer its Ukrainian assets to a French investor | December 30, 2023

ANKARA, December 30. /TASS/. Turkey’s largest mobile operator Turkcell has decided to transfer all its assets in three Ukrainian companies to the French investor organization NJJ Capital. As reported on the website of the Turkish state platform for public disclosure of information, we are talking about three LLCs – Lifecell, Global Bilgi and Ukrtower.

“As part of the decision of the board of directors of our company dated December 20, 2023, an agreement was signed on December 29, 2023 to transfer the shares of our subsidiaries Lifecell LLC, Global Bilgi and Ukrtower LLC to NJJ Capital, along with all rights and debts. Information [о сделке] will be communicated to the public in full and in a timely manner,” Turkcell said in a notice on the platform’s website.

It is noted that the actual transfer of assets has not yet been implemented and the negotiation process has begun on the cost of the transaction and its final terms.

The website states that Turkcell will transfer 100% of its assets in these companies. In Lifecell, the Turkish company has shares worth $334 million at the current rate, in Global Bilgi – for $1.2 million, in Ukrtower – for $51.6 million.
