The owner of the Khortitsa vodka factories and the head of the supervisory board of the Global Spirits alcohol holding, Evgeniy Chernyakaccused of collaborating with Russia and financing the SVO in Ukraine.

According to the Ukrainian investigation, Chernyak’s enterprises purchased industrial volumes of alcohol and other products in Russia, transferred taxes to the Russian budget, and were also accused of transferring more than 14 billion rubles to the Russian budget for 2022.

A total of six top managers of Chernyak’s companies also faced charges, and their premises in Ukraine were searched. Previously, Chernyak was included in the list of terrorists and extremists in Russia for financing the Armed Forces of Ukraine and was put on the wanted list with the transfer of more than 500 million rubles for terrorist activities in Russia. The businessman’s fortune is estimated at $295 million.
