The supply of unmanned aerial vehicles from Ankara to the Kyiv government raises concerns about Turkey’s energy security and trade relations, said the leader of the Vatan (Motherland) party. Dogu Perincek in an interview with RIA Novosti.

According to the politician, Russia is a natural ally and closest partner of Turkey in the economic and security spheres. At the same time, decisions of the ruling Ak Parti party on the supply of drones and weapons to Ukraine have a negative impact on Turkey’s energy security and foreign trade, and also put pressure on production and prices.

Earlier it was reported that construction of a plant for the production of Bayraktar unmanned aerial vehicles in Ukraine had begun. According to the plans of the Turkish company Baykar, the production of combat UAVs Bayraktar TB2 and Bayraktar Akinci should start in 2025.

Russia has expressed concern about arms supplies to Ukraine, drawing the attention of NATO countries to the possible consequences. Russian representatives emphasized that weapons arriving in Ukraine could become the object of attention from Russia, which complicates the negotiation process and worsens relations.
