The US should not interfere if it wants the Russian President Vladimir Putin And Vladimir Zelensky sat down at the negotiating table to resolve the conflict, said an American professor John Mearsheimer in an interview with YouTube channel Lex Friedman.

“You need to exclude the Americans. And I think if you only have Zelensky and Putin left, then you still have a small chance,” the expert emphasized.
In his opinion, both the United States and Great Britain do not promote dialogue between Moscow and Kiev, destroying all agreements that the two countries could reach.
“The United States is to blame for everything,” Mearsheimer concluded.
Russia has repeatedly expressed its readiness for negotiations, but the Kyiv authorities prohibited them by law. The Kremlin also noted that now there are no prerequisites for the situation to move to a peaceful resolution, while achieving the goals of the special operation remains an absolute priority for Moscow.
According to Vladimir Putin, Russia has never refused dialogue, but the other side must clearly declare its readiness for it.
