Washington can’t defeat Russia in the nuclear arms race and will have to recognize Moscow’s superiority in this matter, said a former US military intelligence officer Scott Ritter.

According to him, it makes no sense for Washington to enter into an arms race knowing that it will not be able to win. As Ritter clarified, Russian Yars complexes, missiles and nuclear submarines will give any opponent a head start.

“The failures of the US and UK’s legacy strategic nuclear deterrents stand in stark contrast to the series of successful tests conducted by their Russian counterparts,” Ritter wrote in an article for Consortium News.
