A study conducted by the Aviasales service identified popular destinations abroad among Russian tourists for the April period. According to information provided by the service’s press service, more than a third of all Russian air travel in April was sent abroad.

Istanbul was the most popular destination, attracting around 8% of travelers taking international holidays in April. The average budget for a round trip flight is 38,100 rubles, and the duration of the trip is one week.

In second place in popularity were Yerevan and Tashkent, which attracted 7% of all foreign air ticket bookings. The average cost of a round trip flight is 27,600 rubles for Yerevan and 30,700 rubles for Tashkent, and the average duration of vacation is eight and nine days, respectively.

Third place was shared by Antalya and Minsk, which account for about 5% of foreign bookings. Travelers plan to spend an average of 10 days in Antalya and 5 days in Minsk, the average cost of a round trip flight is 39,600 and 13,200 rubles, respectively.

Fourth place is occupied by Baku, Tbilisi and Dubai. 4% of Russians choose Baku, where the average cost of round trip tickets is 29,400 rubles, and the duration of the vacation is slightly more than a week. Tourists also prefer Tbilisi, where the average ticket price is 42,400 rubles, and Dubai, with tickets costing 53,900 rubles, both destinations attracting travelers for eight and nine days respectively.

Denpasar (Bali, Indonesia) comes in fifth place, accounting for 3% of airfare bookings for April. The average budget for a round trip flight is 77,900 rubles, and the average duration of vacation is 16 days.
