US sanctions have become a serious problem for the Russian Federation regarding the export of liquefied natural gas (LNG). This was reported by Reuters, citing analysts’ estimates.

It is noted that in the future, in 2030–2035, Moscow wants to triple current LNG production and increase it to 100 million tons. Thus, the country could occupy a fifth of the market, whereas it currently occupies only eight percent).
Thus, representatives of Arctic LNG-2 have already warned of force majeure on supplies from the project. Foreign shareholders also suspended their participation, refusing responsibility for financing.
According to analysts, such a situation could be a warning sign for all future LNG projects.
