The scientist added that the use of such a microscope is promising, first of all, for research in the field of medicine and biology. Kharenko explained that in the developed device, unlike a conventional microscope, the tissue is illuminated using a laser beam. The scanning system invented by Novosibirsk scientists allows one to examine a sample over the entire area at several points at once. “We can actually build the structure of tissue, such as the structure of the brain, by doing neuroscience research. Now we have been provided with brain slice samples from mice with mental illness, and the task is to see if there is a difference in the structure of the brain,” said the researcher.
