With the advent of cold weather and the beginning of the heating season, the skin is exposed to seasonal changes, which leads to peeling. This sign indicates a violation of the skin’s protective barrier, causing an accumulation of dead keratinized cells on its surface. Damage to the protective barrier leads to loss of moisture and dry skin, which often occurs under the influence of cold air, dry indoor air, low temperatures, as well as improper care and washing under hot water.

To get rid of peeling, you should consider several recommendations:

  • Washing with cool water: Avoid using hot water when washing your face, as high temperatures can have a negative effect on sensitive skin, especially in dry indoor air.
  • Elimination of aggressive products: Check the composition of care products for the presence of aggressive components such as alcohol, acids and retinol. Temporarily avoid these ingredients and use gentle products with moisturizing and soothing ingredients.
  • Enzyme powder instead of peeling: Instead of aggressive scrubs and peels, it is preferable to use enzyme powder. It acts gently, without worsening the condition of the skin, but effectively eliminating peeling.

Additionally, it is recommended to exclude internal factors, such as hormonal imbalances or vitamin deficiencies, by consulting a doctor and undergoing appropriate tests. Taking these recommendations into account, you can restore the healthy appearance of your skin and prevent its dehydration during the cold season.
