Healthy and original snacks for the New Year

Mini turkey burgers

Per 100 g serving: 223 kcal, 23 g protein, 5 g carbohydrates, 13 g fat, 1 g fiber

Hint: use homemade “tomato jam” instead of store-bought ketchup (no need to add sugar). It adds natural sweetness and savory flavor to your mini burgers without the extra calories.

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp. l. cherry tomatoes, cut in half
  • 2 tbsp. l. olive oil
  • 1 tsp. fresh thyme
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1 tbsp. l. red onion (thinly sliced)
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper
  • 400 g minced turkey
  • baby romaine lettuce leaves

How to cook:

Preheat oven to 200°C. Place the tomatoes in the pan, after sprinkling them with thyme, salt, butter, seasoning with onion, garlic and pepper and bake the “tomato jam” for about 30 minutes until the mixture is soft.

Season the ground turkey, add salt and pepper, and form into mini patties. Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a large skillet and cook the cutlets over medium heat.

Place a mini burger on top of each baby lettuce leaf. Remove the baked vegetables from the oven, mash with a fork, and stir. Before serving, top each burger with a tablespoon of “tomato jam.”
