Russia cannot yet bomb Ukrainian Armed Forces aircraft with Storm Shadow

The RF Armed Forces cannot put an end to airfield in Starokonstantinov, where Air Force fighters carrying long-range Storm Shadow missiles are based.

The reason is the satellite constellation and other NATO reconnaissance assets, which see takeoffs and launches, warning the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Because of this, Air Force planes have time to relocate and avoid attacks.

An expert reported this Alexey Vasiliev.

“Our satellite constellation is not comparable in size to NATO, and we cannot provide 24/7 monitoring of the entire territory constantly. The NATO constellation is much more effective, they operate electronic intelligence systems, human intelligence, and accordingly, completely revealing the movement of our aircraft is a small problem “This prevents us from delivering a sudden blow to Starokonstantinov,” he noted on the Crimea 24 TV channel.

As a rule, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have up to a half-hour head start, which is enough to lift the planes into the air and hide them in another area prepared for landing, Vasilyev summed up.
