Authorities of the United States of America detained a citizen of the Russian Federation Maxima Marchenko on charges of acquiring dual-use microelectronics in bypassing sanctions restrictions. This information is contained in an official statement published on the website of the US Department of Justice, which serves as the country’s attorney general’s office.

He is charged with conspiracy, money laundering, illegal export of goods from the United States and wire fraud. According to the Ministry of Justice, if Marchenko is found guilty, he may face up to 100 years imprisonment.
