As RIA Novosti reports, citing its own source, the advantage of Russian electronic warfare systems is that they suppress the functioning of on-board equipment on fighters and attack aircraft of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

According to the agency’s interlocutor, in this regard, Ukrainian pilots often turn around and fly to their home bases.

He added that the Ukrainian Armed Forces pilots have to return using ground references. Due to the operation of electronic warfare systems, they have problems with navigation, the source explained.

Previously ex-US intelligence officer Scott Ritter stated that Russian electronic warfare systems are capable of combating ATACMS missiles that could be transferred to Ukraine by Western countries.
